Gabriel's still hurt from the end of 5.19 (Lucifer didn't kill him but it was a close thing) and now that Kali's spilled the beans, there are some angry gods out for a bit of revenge. Lucky for Gabriel, Sam's had some practice with disposing of irritating gods, and steals Gabriel back while doing some major damage to those who would hurt Gabe. Cue posessive but gentle sex, where Sam promises that he's not going to let anything else get ahold of Gabe - not even Lucifer.
